Did you know that hamsters have pouches on the side of each cheek? Its like a mini food pantry that the hamster uses to store--well, what else? Food! In this short video, Peanut demonstrates how those pouches work.
I think Peanut has some sort of birth defect, because she can only store food in one cheek pouch and the other one is closed up. You can see that she puts the food on the one side so she looks lopsided. It is pretty cute, though.
